I bought a set of sharpie ultra fine permanent markers to use with templates because I would frequently need to redraw when using a pencil. This is a completed cab. A minute on the 220 hard and 280 soft. I frequently have to do this or more to get the remaining super glue off the back. Only issue is lining up the template and when I get it wrong it takes more than an eraser. ly

Pencil and old-fashioned scribes work.
I find metallic sharpie doesn’t seem to soak into the stone
For stickers that stay put, cryogenic labeling ones work well (Tough Tags are my favorite).

I think I posted a thread, maybe two years ago, where I had one heck of a time getting it out of a piece of OJ. After going down as far as I dared, I basically had to do chromatography, and play with the polarity of solvents, until it found the proper mix that created a mobile phase. If I remember correctly, I started with acetone, which had little effect, and ended with a mix of isopropanol and acetic acid (long soak), which faded it enough to polish the last of it away.
