My Gene was put away for a few days in it's usual spot. It has a spot on a desk with nothing else around it. I got it out yesterday to use it. When I hit the last wheel, it sounded awfully funny, like it was delaminated, which I hear can happen. This is a really old wheel. It is only the second 3000 on the machine since I got it. Well, I stopped the machine and had a good look, checking for a delaminated area when I saw this... A friggin' DENT! A pretty deep one, too. That had me shaking my head. The only thing I can think is that one of the wooden dowel dops that I store there had wedged itself against the wheel. Hadn't really planned on replacing that wheel. I used it all day and it worked fine. Guess I'll wait and see if it somehow decompresses itself.

I had the same thing happen to me. I kept away from the area when using and it decompressed.
I was going to mount a couple wheels on my new Genie right side. I had a 60 grit crystal ring that I was going to mount and try out. It wouldn't make it past the threads on the shaft. I had mounted it on the left side some years ago without a problem. I ordered some stone grinding bits from amazon and will enlarge the hole slightly and try again.
