So I took exactly 1 picture at the swap. Just because pix or it didn't happen Had a great time visiting with Rich & Mrs. and razzing the sander seller IMG_20190824_122939And here's what I bought at the show today. It's a 10" Ezy-Lap Jr. I plugged it in and it runs smooth and quiet. I need to get a few springs for it and it should be ready to roll! BTW I think I got a rockpickerforever deal. It was $10... Jean, would you have paid that? LOL (oh he threw in a 3rd hand locking tweezer thing for the $10 too) How cute is that!?! IMG_20190824_185532Nate, you definitely got one of my deals. Hell yes, I'd've paid ten bucks for it! And the third hand was just the icing on the cake! Sounds like you and the Wigglins had a great time. Looks like you had nice weather to shop and talk rocks with good friends. It doesn't get any better than that!

Great deal on the flat lap.
That sander just keeps reappearing. It is very cool. Imagine the rocks you could face polish with it.

Rich & I both got a business card from him. If I ever make room I'll hit him up & see if he's still got it.

Thought I might post my small rock haul to prove I was at the swap . Wasn't planning on adding to many rocks to the pile so it was a success . Must be getting old cuz it is getting to be more fun just looking at and talking about rocks than buying them . Made it extra fun having really good company to share the day with . So anyway , here's a few we brought home . Red was in a mixed box with some other garbage , had to bring that home too . Hate it when they do that . Mystery rock has Texas Moss written on the back , sure has the look of wood to me . Couple chunks of turritella A death plate looking thing that was in the random mix box And some smallish slabs . Some were a buck but most were in a 3 for $5 bin That is most of it . Thanks for having a look .

I can't see a sander in any pic, what kind is it. Looks like it was a great day. I hate when this retirement is adding up to 70 hr weeks.

Billy , it is one of those big vertical glass sander type things . I think you posted about picking one up a year or three ago . The pic doesn't show it good , ya have to know where it is to barely make it out .

Yeah I just zoomed way up on the picture on my phone and it's a bad angle on the sander, can hardly make it out. If he brings it to the Oshkosh show I'll get a better picture of it 😉
Looks like you got a nice selection there Rich. I should've looked closer at the slabs the guy south of the food trailer had. I think there was some choice stuff there, although it was probably priced accordingly too.

Most of these came from the guy you bought the lap from . Wish I would have went to his booth first , instead of lollygagging around for an hour . The guy who was set up on the end where we parked had some really good material . Fairly reasonably priced for type and size of the slabs . Not sure , but we might have bought a couple of slabs from him .
