Asian Style Pork with Mushroom Sauce
1 package Center Cut Pork Chops 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup 1 Soup Can full Of Milk 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Optinal 8 ounces of your fav mushroom
Blend Soup, Milk and Soy Sauce in a Blender till Completly smooth. Lay out pork Chops in a glass baking dish and If using aditional mushrooms add them to the dish, then cover with the blended soup mixture and Bake at 375f for 1 hour.
I normally serve this with Mashed Poatoes or White Rice, and the gravy in the pan is awesome over potatoes.

My daughter asked for help. She is hosting Thanksgiving for over 30 people, ages 1 year to 80+.
They have seating for 11 between island and dining room table. Some will be seated on couches and floor or standing. She decided not to put up portable tables and chairs, due to the 14 children who will be running around.
Any ideas for easy to make, grab and go side dishes? The main meal, will be traditional, turkey, potatoes, squash, cornbread, cranberries, rolls and pies for dessert.
She is looking for things that are not messy that children can grab and go with. She will have veggie/fruit trays, cheese, crackers, sausage, but is looking for other ideas. Also, fun dessert ideas for the children.
Thanks

Thanks Deviled eggs, small pimento cheese (or other kind) of sandwiches, 1/2 cobs of corn lightly buttered, let them fill up ice cream sugar cones with fruit.

OK, lets remember it's Wisconsin on Thanksgiving (likely indoor party) Kiddies always like popcorn- put it in individual baggies .

Thanks for the ideas. I will pass them on. Pumpkin bread is deliscious, not crumbly and nutritious. My kids always liked it. And there is always yummy chex mix.

question does anyone ever use a cheese cloth on their oven roasted turkey any more Great question Ed! I bet most people just use the "bags" now for cooking turkeys. I think they do the same thing by keeping the bird more juicy than if cooked without it.

Love that LADMO BAG Ed!! Oh yeah! We have cooked roasts and veggies in the bag too (and by "we"...I mean my wife! LOL)! I think French Onion Soup is the BEST thing to put on a roast when cooking it! Then some homemade gravy smothered over the spuds and meat! I'm still full from turkey...but my mouth is watering thinking about roast now! LOL

Do you guys have any favorite holiday dishes? My Mom was a class A chef. That woman could cook! She made oodles of delicious cookies. We all got a full box Christmas Eve. My favorites were her yummy rum balls. She made venison mincemeat from scratch that took months to make. Plenty of pumpkin pie, too.
I don't cook much. DH does the cooking, but (don't tell him), but he isn't much of a cook. I am actually a very good cook. I just don't like to cook. BUT, maybe some of you will post something I just have to try.

Spatchcock Chicken Recipe Natashia's Kitchen Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 45 minutes Total Time: 1 hour This Spatchcock chicken recipe is our favorite way to roast a whole chicken. Every part of the roasted chicken turns out juicy and so flavorful with that garlic herb butter. Easy and delicious one pan chicken dinner! Author: Natasha of NatashasKitchen.com Skill Level: Main Course Cost to Make: $18-$20 Servings: 6 people Ingredients Ingredients for Spatchcock Chicken Recipe: 4 1/4 lb whole chicken, * 1/2 tsp salt, (we used sea salt) 1/8 tsp black pepper Ingredients for Flavored Butter: 4 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened 1 Tbsp olive oil, plus more to drizzle 1 Tbsp parsley, finely chopped 2 garlic cloves, minced 1/2 tsp lemon zest 1 Tbsp lemon juice 1 tsp salt, plus more for vegetables 1/8 tsp black pepper Ingredients for 1-Pan Chicken Dinner: 2 lbs medium red potatoes, scrubbed and quartered 3 medium carrots, peeled and quartered 8 oz Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved Instructions 1. (Preheat oven to 425˚F after step 4). Place chicken breast-side down with the wings/ neck facing towards you. To remove the spine, use kitchen shears to cut through the ribs right next to the spine along both sides. Open rib cage and use a heavy knife to score down the sternum. This will help pop out the breast bone and flatten chicken. Season inside the chicken with 1/2 tsp salt and a pinch of black pepper. 2. Flip the chicken over breast side up and set on parchment-lined, rimmed baking half sheet. Using the palm of your hand, push firmly over the breast bone forcing the chicken to lay completely flat. Use your thumbs to separate the skin from the meat over breast, thigh and drumstick areas. 3. In a small mixing bowl, combine the flavored butter ingredients. Mash with fork for a couple of minutes until lemon juice is mostly incorporated into butter. 4. Spread 2/3 of mixture under the chicken skin and and dot/spread remaining butter all over chicken. 5. Place prepared vegetables all around the chicken and drizzle everything with olive oil. Sprinkle chicken and vegetables generously with salt and some black pepper to taste. 6. Bake uncovered at 425˚F for 45 min or until instant read thermometer reads 160˚F when inserted into thickest part of chicken breast**. Remove from oven and rest uncovered 10 minutes on a cutting board before serving. Recipe Notes *Allow the raw chicken to sit at room temp for 30 min before using for even baking. **Don't over-bake or the breast will be dry. Keep in mind internal temp will rise another 5-10 degrees after it comes out of oven. natashaskitchen.com/spatchcock-chicken-recipe-video/

I actually rolled up my sleeves and fixed this one last night for wife and daughter. Took about 50 minutes for a four pound chicken. Added fresh mushrooms and onion with the other veggies. Tender and moist with that great lemon/garlic butter flavor.
