Found by wigglinrocks in the U.P. Some of the green areas remind me of Malachite. Others of Greenstone. The red/orange areas of Jaspilite and Basalt. Hardness varies, depending on color from about 5.5 to 7.5. I have never seen anything like this before all in one rock and am stumped.

That's an odd combination, for sure. Almost looks like vesicular basalt, though I think of basalt as usually being black. Some of the cupriferous amygdaloidal basalt with pumpellyite, datolite, and similar fillings from the Michigan UP shores is a close match.

The green looks like greenstone. I am going to find the one with Greenstone you gave me and compare them.

Because of the red tent I would put that ion the rhyolite class and not the basalt class. so I would Amygdaloidal rhyolite. the difference is that a Vesicles are empty bubbles and Amygdaloids are filled vesicles. The green is most likely Olivine.
