The one Montana looks like it has floating feathers in it I have a lot of Montana agates running right now. Frustrating fracture prone material but the ones that do survive make it worth it. Chuck

Chuck Like the Montana's, but agree that it's a fracture prone material. Must be the combination of river tumbling and the cold temps. Picked up about 2-3 gallons of small slabs, ends, and trim pieces. Looking at it closely, 60 to 70% contain fractures. Have managed to pull out about 60 or 70 pieces so far that will make nice pendants. Just 4 or 5 pendants will pay for the material. Henry

Anyone have any guesses for the green one in picture #3? Has a jade look to it but jade should not have polished this well in a mixed batch.

Those look great! I am in the same boat, I shut down the tumblers for about a year but am getting ready to start running them again. My youngest granddaughter loves rocks so I am firing them back up for her and the wife wants me to start working through the hundreds of pounds of rocks that are in the garage...lol

Granite? You haven't broken the granite habit yet? I know it's a unakite sort of granite, but granite? I have to stop beating myself up for occasionally hauling some home. Did you haul that one home from here?
Ok, now that I have that off my chest, I like #4 and 5 the best. I'll bet #4 doesn't look as good in person, but you took a great picture of it. I don't even know what I like so much about Montana agate, but I like it a lot. I love the black speckles on #5.

Looks like algae on a piece of granite. I'll toss more in your truck next time I see you.

That green one is small piece of scrap from some slabs I cut a few weeks ago. Really nice material. Just placed a hefty grit and polish order at the rock shed so I am committed to keep going for awhile now. Chuck
