RocksInNJ These were from bags of rocks the critter control person got at a local home improvement store. They weren't even local. Just pre-packaged, big box store rocks.

Yea I read that thread. That’s great you had to hire him, but got some cool rocks in return. I’ve often thought about checking out some landscape places that sell rock when I get some extra money, but I doubt there will be anything to exciting here.

Check Menard's if you have one close to you. I have purchased bags of rocks from them and have found interesting stuff. Lowe's and Home Depot I have not had much luck.

Don’t know of any Menards, but I’ll google it. Glad you mentioned the Lowe’s and Home Depot options. I’ve seen people do that and wondered how the results were.

Some are large enough for cabbing. Others will be tumbled.
