Hooked Up. A fiend of mine went salt water fishing recently and caught this while he was trying to remove the hook from a 21" fish that he had just caught. Dr. couldn't cut the hook with wire cutters and pull it through so he had to get bolt cutters.

Speaking from experience-that hurts!

Consider the Earth’s history as the old measure of the English yard, the distance from the King’s nose to the tip of his outstretched hand. One stroke of a nail file on his middle finger erases human history.
No like for pain and suffering but a like for educational information.
I used to live at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay on the Atlantic. Right on the beach. I took the kids fishing a lot. It was awesome! My son got a big hook stuck in his hand. Can't remember exactly where, but it didn't go all the way through. First thing I did was call my mom. She grew up on the water. All the family were fishermen and lobstermen. So, I asked her what to do. She told me that I had to push the hook all the way through and then cut off ends. Ugh. I hope no one here tells me that was wrong. I trusted her. I told him this will hurt and that it will hurt me more than him- and I meant it. It was a little hard to push through, but I got it, cut it and bandaged it. It wasn't fun, but he was really good about it.
I had a young neighbor kid one time with a hook in his hand, not very deep. I was a youth then. My grandma held him down, and I pulled the hook out THE WAY IT WENT IN. He was screaming. I felt sooo bad when I heard about the proper way to remove the hook

Too much walking shoes worn thin Too much trippin' and my soul's worn thin
rockjunquie and MsAli True story: When wife and first I started going out, I used to have an old wooden fishing lure with treble hooks hanging from my rear view mirror. One evening we were going to a local bar to have a few drinks. Sometimes she gets a little animated when she talks and this night she moved a hand into one of the hooks and impaled it. Hook went through a finger. Was able to take the plug off the mirror, snipped the barb off, pulled it out and put a bandaid on it. We're still together today. When she saw the photo this morning she did have a negative reaction though.

Amazing she married you anyways! When are we going fishing?
Barn painting has commenced. Actually, a mural is being painted on this side of barn. The crew arrived yesterday.
I will be taking many photos the next two days. Also installing a couple of trail cameras aimed at the barn.
Here is a before photo.
What was done yesterday. Note that some of the icky Box Elder trees were sawed off. The remaining tree by barn is a Sumac. The crew agreed that it should not be damaged.
The mural crew is very professional. All were wearing masks. They are tested weekly for COVID. They rented a lift to help with painting. I am very excited to see the final results.
Listen to the rock. The rock knows its destiny. It will guide you in fulfilling that.

rockhobbyguy: I am very heartbroken to hear Lortone is going out of business. My motor on my 45c just went out and needs to be replaced. Since theses are now seemingly unavailable for good, does anyone know of another brand of motor that would work with a Lortone 45c.
