You have received a virtual postcard from RickB Time to put the boots back on.
What a great spot!!! Is it always so vacant? The islands down there are beautiful. I've been to several. Have you been to Cumberland Island in Georgia?

It's hard to get a spot there. Must have been a Sunday afternoon when the photo was taken. There are many more sites through the trees in the photo and another part of the campground is inland off the causeway. We're fixing to get the site on the right where the red truck is. Haven't been to Cumberland Island but have been to Jekyll Island and St. Simons island.

That's a lot of snow. I didn't know you got that much.

This was only about 3-1/2 inches. There's another system coming tomorrow that's suppose to dump another 7-11" on us.
The weather here is wonky. It mostly depends on the elevation you're at and whether the cloud with the snow in it hangs over your house. For some reason, this system is hitting us more than south of us in Prescott this time. Sedona is suppose to get between 15-19" in this next one!

The more snow you get the less snow I get We have 4” that is about enough for this winter

Rude weather this afternoon. Snowed all day and in the afternoon the wind kicked up somewhere in the 30-40 mph range and made near white-out conditions.

Sorry Robin! That's what it usually looks like outside our house this time of year!

And the rudeness continues! It snowed all night and is still snowing. By our calculations, we've gotten about 20" of snow in the last 3 days. Yesterday morning while it was still snowing, it was still warm enough that it was melting as it was hitting the ground and the sun peaked out every once in a while until the wind picked up and it got really ugly. This is what it looks like now. Thankfully, the winds are calm now and this is suppose to move out of here by about 11:00 am.
Vince's work is closed today because of the snow, so he gets to shovel out the cars and the driveway today.
I tweaked my back on Saturday and can't help.

hummingbirdstones - Sorry to hear about you twerking your back...I mean tweaking! I'm sure Vince would've preferred the twerking. Tell Vince sorry to hear his snow day from work was hampered by snow removal. What a geographical switch of weather! We had some snow last night and it's still spitting a little now, but nothing compared to what you guys got hammered with...

Thanks, Mike.
I'm really not too upset about the snow. I am from Chicago, after all. We desperately needed the moisture after having a non-monsoon last year. Of course, I'd rather have the snow is smaller doses, but you just never know what Ma Nature has in store. The poor hummingbird hanging out here (way too early) is lucky I put a feeder up when we saw her about a week or so ago. I'm going to make another feeder to switch out in case this one starts freezing up.
I'm upset that I can't help in the shoveling part. I actually enjoy shoveling every once in a while. My back is feeling better. I've been icing it since Saturday, so hopefully a few more days and it will be back to normal.

At least the snow is pretty! Until you have to shovel it, that is.
We had sleet all morning that just turned to rain. The cats enjoyed watching the little balls of ice bouncing around but even they gave up after a while.

I'd probably put myself in traction if I even tried it!
Not sure how I even did the "tweaking". Didn't know anything was wrong until I tried to get up off a chair.
Vince doesn't mind having the day off to shovel. At least this way he can take his time and have breaks. If he had to work he'd be trying to do it all after he got home and it would be way more taxing on him.

I have put my back out by leaning over and picking up an empty clothes basket...and another time I put it out sneezing! Thankfully it isn't out all the time though! Perhaps Vince needs some hot cocoa with marshmallows in it for one of his breaks...I remember that was always the positive "reward" with regards to snow removal as a kid. (Maybe I need to go back to that for myself! LOL)

Actually I rather enjoy shoveling snow every now and then. Not just that much by myself. The good news is that it's 34 out right now and it's melting slowly. Friday we have another rain/snow event to deal with, so I'm hoping it's mostly rain. That will get rid of a lot of it.
