OMG! I could NOT live with that!!!!! They don't bother me. I hope you folks with arachnophobia will forgive me I've caught 6 of them so far this year. Last year I caught 12. The last two spiders from this morning are still at large, hiding from me. I like the way the flash highlights their beady little eyes. Species Eratigena duellica - Giant House Spider - Bug Guide.net

Santee State Park South Carolina - Lake Marion Three young ducks at the lake that came up close to us. I figured campers have been feeding them. Two larger adults stayed further back. Water hyacinth. Two weeks here as the temps have begun to drop for fall. Next ten days they are forecasting low to mid sixties at night and low to mid eighties daily for the highs.

Yesterday, I cut down some more trees by the house. 24 of them! Notice some trees in this 6-28-22 photo. As of yesterday, they were above the lower roof edge. Now they are cut to the stumps. I have someone coming to remove the stumps, soon. Each stump usually sprouts about 4-6 trees every time they are cut. The trees grow about 8-10 feet annually. I still have another 24-40 trees to cut down around buildings.

Spur of the moment visit from my best friend yesterday. She lives about 3 hours away. She picked up the chain saw I had ordered for her. She brought me some beautiful 1980’s gauze skirts, a leather shirt she used for reenactments and a few other things. We also picked a box of apples for her to take home. She had her Border Collies in the car, so she couldn’t stay long. It was my first time meeting them. They are adorable. The top skirt is pink and purple. I love wearing gauze skirts, so this is extra special.
