Thanks everyone for the likes. I've knapped knife blades & arrowheads for years but never hafted any myself until recently. Most folks I know use antler or cholla cactus but I figure to craft a few out of old wood with character that I find while we camp. Walked the shoreline of these limestone bluffs today but found very little I'd like to work with. mikethummingbirdstonesliveoak

Not rock related, but wanted to share some horse themed jewelry I made yesterday. I did fix the jump rings after taking these photos. These will be for sale at an upcoming craft show, so price will be low.

I use braided synthetic leather to make the neck cords. Glue on the end caps and findings. I found that any rock related pendants or wire wraps do not sell here unless they are made into a necklace. Even then, some offer prices that are ridiculous. $10.00 for a handmade cab that is wire wrapped and on a sterling chain. My cost for this one was about $30.00. Offer for only $50.00. I was taking a loss on my time for this.
I am learning. In competition with many who sell items for a whole lot less than me. Most here would sell the earrings for $4.00. Similar necklaces for $5,00, but they would be on cheap, plated chains or cord/ribbon.
I am double their prices, since I am not a resale of some cheap, import item, but making everything myself.
Working at getting accepted into the local arts group. Until then, I must rely on craft shows and internet sales.

Half the battle of selling is offering the right product for your customer base. The shows you are doing now are geared towards these kinds of items, so you should do well. Pretty smart.

"I'm going to eat daddy's Rubin sandwich" - Maggie Oh boy, she's got her tongue peeking out and those little worry wrinkles going on on her forehead. She was seriously considering it! Great picture of Maggie, RickB!

Great kitty shots, Dule. I like to see pictures of kitties, but don't need to actually have one. I can live vicariously through yours! That will suffice.
I get most of my news from a compiler. In addition to news, the site also allows feedback to the news, member photos, memes, and even music videos in the Champagne Room on Friday and Saturday nights. It's an interesting place.
Like we have Turd Tuesday here on RTH, on Saturdays, they have - you guessed it - Caturday! More cat pictures.

RickB, man, I just love that expression on her face! Looks like her eyeballs are going to pop right out of their sockets, lol. She must really like Ruebens. Please tell me she at least got a taste?

Half the battle of selling is offering the right product for your customer base. The shows you are doing now are geared towards these kinds of items, so you should do well. Pretty smart. Thank you for the kind words. In the past I always made higher end items. Over the past couple of years many have started making jewelry as a way to fill their time. I do not like to make low end jewelry, but will do what is needed for sales. Pallet sales are also big here. Many are purchasing pallets and reselling the items. I have a friend who runs an animal rescue group that purchases pallets of random items. She then uses them for fund raising. She has found boxes of jewelry on the pallets. She showed me some of the jewelry. Most was import. Some had incorrect info on the cards. My favorite was a dyed howlite ring set in nickel. It was labeled as Arizona Turquoise and Sterling. The price on tag was $100.00. I showed her how to determine if some of the labels were accurate or not. I also offered to help her determine what any jewelry was if needed.
