RWA3006 - You guys really did take a beating!! - 70% loss of the Cervidae population is massive! It's going to take YEARS to recover from that kind of loss!

They're reporting that 100% of the fawn crop won't make it. Even the zillions of garden raiding deer in my neighborhood have either died or moved to lower elevations.

It started a warming trend yesterday and the creeks like this one in my backyard will soon be raging.

My wife picked up two steaks for dinner tonight. She hollered at me when she got the package open. Well...tomorrow's Easter...so of course there's a rabbit in one and she sees a chick in the other!!

Release party today for this new/old beer. We have not made it since 2018. There is an interesting, somewhat true story behind the name. Grandpa is the G-G Uncle of the owner. A long time ago, Grandpa was having trouble with a pesky, spike buck. He was eating plants/trees by their place and damaging fences. Was not afraid of people. First, we made a beer called Spike’s Ale. It was made with maple sap. A couple years later, Spikes Ale was retired. Grandpa’s Got A Gun was released. In true life, Grandpa ended up shooting Spike. I often add ice cream to some of our dark beers. Am thinking that Grandpa’s is an ideal candidate for this. The namesake for this beer will be visiting O’so today. Looking forward to meeting him.
