I posted photos of some of my artifacts many years ago on the old DRH site which were deleted when I left and their photo server was hacked. Figured that I would post them here for you to see. Most of the artifacts were self collected during the sixties/seventies and are from South Carolina. Most of the raw material the Native Americans used around Columbia SC was primarily quartz from SC, rhyolite from NC and coastal plain chert from the Savannah River area. The first six photos are mostly arrowheads, dart points, spear points, knives, drills and scrapers. Enjoy, Rick B The points in this photo are from Richland County, North Dakota: In the last three photos there is a full groove axe, two celts, a hammer, a pottery gaming stone, two hammer stones and three mortars. All three mortars are worked on both sides. The mortar in the last photo also has smaller indentations on both sides for cracking nuts. [/url)

Wow, that’s quite the collection you have there. Pretty amazing and a ton of history there. Love the way you displayed them as well.

What a nice collection. 6th photo, top right corner. What culture is that from? Have never seen one like it before.

Right bottom is broken where there is a chalk and crystal inclusion. It was found in Georgia in the sixties. Maybe JamesP has seen one like it before.
