Hello again fellow rock lickers. I have searched these pages and many others like them across the web, and can't find any mention or reviews of the Kingsley heirloom sintered wheels. So I thought I'd share my experience with them.
I have an 80 and 220 in the 8", and love them. Consistent and respectably fast cutting, even in the hardest agates I've thrown at them. The 220 has done a few dozen cabs ranging from boulder opal to tourmaline and had a handful of fist size specimines put through it, and the 80 has only done a couple noreena jasper and Wyoming Jade cabs (just mounted it tonight)
I couldn't be happier with how they work. No issues with balance or running true, and they fit the 1"arbor shaft perfectly. Time will tell how durable they are, but the only evidence of use I can see on the 220 is maybe a bit more exposed diamond, and the expected coating of rock dust.
I know this sounds like a shill, but for basically the same price as an equivalent Galaxy, I think these are a spectacular deal.

Good to know, thanks for the review. Where do you have the heirloom wheels located on your arbor?

I'm running them as the first two wheels on the left end, but there is a bearing between them on a 1 inch shaft. I don't know that I would mount them outboard on something like a genie without support. The 8" wheels are pretty heavy, probably 7-8 pounds each

A few months and about 50 cabs or faces cut, still no visible wear on the wheels. I think they are well broken in at this point, and if anything, the 80 grit is cutting faster. I did find that it was a bit chippy on a couple of the more brittle stones that I have cut, such as stick agate and opalized wood, but the 220 cuts fast enough that I was able to finish the domes without too much trouble. They even did well with the two star rubies and a big chunk of copper matrix conglomerate that are in the works at the moment.
