Had to work from 2:45 - 10:30 PM today.
I monitored weather/road conditions for customers who asked about road conditions and radar.
When I left, there was about 2" of snow on ground and 10-15 MPH winds. Still snowing moderately. "Horizontal" snow due to wind.
Knew I was in for a challenging trip.
Took about 45 minutes to drive 13 miles.
The main road, a state HWY which is also listed as an "Alternate" Interstate, had not been plowed. The closer I got to home, the more snow was on road. There were many drifts up to 8" high for most of the trip. The drifting made it difficult to even see where the road was.
White out/blizzard conditions at times. Very few other cars on road. Saw one semi.
I measured the snow at my place. 4.5".
Round two of heavy snow comes later this AM. 5 more inches predicted. I have the same work schedule as yesterday. Still trying to find someone to plow me out so I can get to work.
I like to be prepared for any type of storm.

Too bad you're not my neighbor fernwood , I would plow your driveway for free even if there was only one snowflake on the ground just because I have fun playing in the snow

EricD like your rig Don't like the idea of living somewhere I would need it with a snowplow.

You dont have someone lined up before the storm to plow you out? I did, but they did not respond to my messages. Was able to find someone else who is coming in a couple hours. I usually wait until the snow is finished before being plowed. Only have light snow here now, but received another 2-3" overnight.

Standing order to be plowed out late morning for cheaper rate. If snow is huge they will clear a path earlier so school children can get out.

We got about 11-13" total. Wind is still blowing like crazy.
We have JD w/ snowblower. Makes it easy to get everything cleared out. Plus we have neighbors with plows on their trucks and several have the ATVs w/ the plows.
We really dont have to ask and no one pays anyone. Everyone just goes down the road and makes sure people are plowed out and safe.
