So I was down by the Salt River Cleaning a heart shape rock I found (I took a picture and would post it But I’m concerned about Cloudbanary bandwidth{ And this Heron Came walking right up to me At the edge of the river Not even five feet away I just kept cleaning my rocks Looking out the corner of my eye Saying will you let me take your picture? Luckily I had the camera out right behind me on a rock That bird love posing for me Everytime the shutter fluttered It made a low rumbling noise But the gray heron stayed…

good question amydude but I don't think so I think it just didn't notice me i had my back turned and it just walked up
awkward moment where dissimilar thing just connect ?
but I no nothing about Heron are they real shy birds? was that unusual ? do they get people friendly who feed them?
anyway stay tuned cause I have another picture that really rocks of that bird...

I've fished before when one would get close. Every now and then I would toss a small fish on the bank toward the bird. They will come over and get a fish if it's not too close to you.

Good adventure Mohs
How close were you to the horse?
Herons are very flighty birds, he noticed you, just didnt care & or was waiting for a handout

My story on the wild horses When I driving in there were about 4 cars parked on the side of the road, and people were out taking pictures of the horses I drove further down and took a picture of Saguaro Ha Its funny cause in just this one area the cacti change That where the horses were When I was down by the river people were asking me if I saw any horses? No. I saw a Heron So driving back I stopped to take a pictures of the horses. There was then just one dude out there with telephoto lens taking pictures. The horses were nonchalant but a good distance away. I walked away from him and then that dude left. I was there all-alone. That when I started singing. And that mustang just kept coming closer and closer to me He got about 7 feet away. I was trying get him to look up at me Maybe shake his mane. But he was just content to keep on grazing... mostly

One of the few herds that has a successful outside group managing it while the BLM claims it won't be successful for other herds.
$ $ $
Last I heard the forest service was putting up fences that they are fighting to stop.
