Anyone out there for the show? If so, anyone want to post some pictures or brag on any purchases? I know we’d all like to see.

Here are a few pictures I took today at the Kino show. sign we saw at the main entrance... some dino bone drool worthy agates petrifies wood hampton butte wood ocean jasper Richardson's Canadian Pinolith. Yes! Canadian. A new discovery... the new Highland Park cabbing machine some finished Lapis Lazuli not stone, but I thought it was cool almost forgot...I think this is the "antique" Thanks for looking!

Thanks for sharing those photos. My parents are outside of Tucson, but I can't fit a trip to them to experience the show. Then again, considering the size, I am not sure I'd know where to start.

Thank you for the pictures! It is always so cool to see
The horse head carving is gorgeous and that Pinolith looks like feathers trapped inside.

Thanks for the preview. We're in Casa Grande for the night and headed to Tucson for the weekend. Starting at Miner's Co-op and working our way south. Already amped up for "too much rocks". I'll try to remember to take pics, but I might get too excited...lol. Craig

Thanks for the pinolith link. It's sooooooo beautiful. I just have to have some. It is beautiful. It seems to be a little different from the Austrian material in that there is some pyrite present. We haven't cut into our piece yet.

Thanks for sharing those photos. My parents are outside of Tucson, but I can't fit a trip to them to experience the show. Then again, considering the size, I am not sure I'd know where to start. May be next year? It is sooo big! I heard an estimate of 65,000 people this year! If you are interested in lapidary rough then the Kino center is a good bet. It is easy to get to, easy to park at, and has a great selection of rough. There are four shuttle lines running this year. They are free to use...at least 3 of the 4 are provided by the city of Tucson. The venues have the show catalogs available...usually placed conveniently out front in metal stands. This year there are two 3/8 inch thick catalogs plus the brochures. I have seen at least two versions of brochure that have maps showing the shuttle routes.
