Spent some more time looking at the albums I brought in from barn. Discovered that this one had the lyric's book inside. It also has a price tag applied. I want to remove the price sticker without ruining the album cover. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I hate when yard sale/thrift shops put stickers on album covers. Had a few that decreased a value by a lot!
Very gently use a blow dryer and heat the area. You want to melt the glue. It may come off. If not leave it alone.
Too bad it doesnt have both Marvelous Condition Booklets

MsAli was hoping you would see this. Thanks. Yes, the scrap book was not there. Nor was the poster. Am thinking that the lyrics book was hardly looked at. The spine is in perfect condition.

Good luck w that Beth One of my favorite Elton l.p's and don't do what I did I found this classic Doors Lp in used shop I was stoked because it was never played and the album cover was intact I had the album back in 73 and constructed the zoetrope then that was revolving cut out that you set on the turntable and the Full Circle images animated very cool somehow I messed up the current album cover not terribly --but enough to make me feel like do do O and I haven't constructed the zoetrope its all good leery of doing it being a do do and all

Album covers are usually worth more than the LP ..

I've sold a few of these LP. 1975 original with the books can fetch a pretty penny
Not orig press and no books, not so much
Stickers always affect price but not as much as a ripped cover would

I held onto my record collection for a long time. I had a really great collection. My nephew was a DJ and I knew he would enjoy them more than just having them sit in a trunck, so I gave him most. I still have my Skynyrd Street Survivors with the flames and the red Tots inside. I also have the original first Billy Idol album. It was pulled when it first came out. then MTV made him a star overnight and they rereleased it with a different cover. Lots of really old goodies, too. Even the original Bang a gong album. Can't eve remember what it was called. I think I still have a few favs in a trunk buried somewhere.

As far as the sticky tape issue, personally I'd leave it on...........like mentioned previously, covers and sleeves in good shape often are worth more than the vinyl. There are a couple of members here who post vintage tunes quite often that absolutely reflect many of my taste and collection....: This pic reflects two of four 70's style orange crates I have full of albums from 1967 thru 1992. Stopped buying them when CD's became inexpensive. I also posses about 300 Cassette albums and about 70 8-track cassettes as well.......the other two crates have been stored, only kept the albums I prefer to play, in the two shown......my kids will fight over these when I'm gone......lol.

That was as close as I could get to the real thing. Besides, you haven't been paying attention. I have posted a few recent pix and some old ones. Guess you missed them. I'm old, I have really long graying/whiteing blonde ponytail hair (not too many wrinkles though), and I'm totally not in the shape I once was, but I have great nails (during my off cabbing season). LOL! You're not missing much.
