I had to share because this is too cute.
Spent about 45 minutes with him. My daughter had told me he was beginning to make certain sounds. Daughter was getting some kitchen things done while I was with him in living room.
I asked him what he wanted to show me. He crawled to a plastic car. Pushed it and said "oom, oom" . Car engine noises.
Then crawled to the police car I gave him. Pushed that and said "ee O, ee O". Police car noises.
He then crawled over to a book I had given him. Opened the first page and looked at me. My signal to start reading. I read the first two pages, pointing at the words. When I was done, he turned the page. We went through half the book before he became distracted.
Simon cat did interrupt us. When Simon was near, AJ touched Simon and said "me-owe". Of course, Simon responded. My daughter and I think they are plotting something, lol, as they talk so much.
Such a wonderful time together. It was like he wanted to show me so many things.
My daughter finished in the kitchen and wanted to show me something they do together. My daughter has always had a beautiful singing voice and it has gotten much better since AJ was born. She started a song on her phone. Sang along with it. AJ chimed in at times with specific noises that fit the song perfect. OMG! My daughter said they have been singing this song together for about a month. It is not a children's song, but one about being a mother. Loving and singing to your child.
I left full of joy.
