joshuamcduffie I took a somewhat voluntary layoff, as I am needed at home for homeschooling right now. But, the hours were already drastically reduced, I worked 15 hours last week.

Just curious, we've been locked up for awhile, anyone notice anything dwindling away that they hadn't expected? Any new insights? Supermarket supply chains seem to be holding up pretty well, although it’s been tough to keep up with peoples’ newfound hoarding behavior. TP and bottled water are starting to come back after most places put purchase limits on them. Maybe rice and pasta.

Best of luck to you! I’ve got my two accidental homeschoolers locked in the playroom right now. They need naps but don’t want em.

When they do have the basics, they put limits on them. But, the smaller grocery stores seem to be doing better than the Wally worlds.

I have only been to the small local grocery store. Today they were out of TP, tissues, eggs, rice and dry milk. 1.5 weeks ago they had all those items. This store is not part of a chain, but they carry some items labeled as Essential Everyday.

They limited the number of some items the first week of our lockdown (this is now week 3 for us), but most stores lifted those after the first week's panic buyers loaded up. Inventories of most things have recovered here, though there is less of a selection on things like TP. I think we're all in for a glut of paper products and hand sanitizer a couple of months down the road.

Tp is scarce as hens teeth here, but we have a few rolls left and a good amount of wet wipes and a good shower lol. Plenty of soggy maple leaves that could be dried out also.

Not for YOU! LOL! I've only picked up a few slabs in the last few months, but they were nice ones. I totally miss the swap meet and thrift stores which have shut down . They were some of the best sources for rocks, and great prices, too.

Hanging in there, lol. I think Bob misses the swap more than I do. It was about the only place he went lately, besides doctor appointments. And now not those anymore!

Makes me glad that I opted to install bidets when I built the house. None in the guest powder room, and with no guests the TP will last quite a while for that. If the shortage around here had lasted, there was the temptation to sell off that stockpile - though our governor wants a crackdown on that type of profiteering.
We actually got some snow this morning (very odd for the last day of March), though it's been above freezing, so it melted quickly (came down hard enough to briefly turn everything white).

I can do basalt? I've got lots of that, too. Not trading for TP, but will entertain swaps for gold and platinum ingots - would look better stacked along the driveway than the basalt chunks that are there now.

You could always take that stimulus check and use it for a down payment on one of those $6K Japanese toilets w/am-fm stereo, Wi-Fi, heated seat and a vibrating wand that pleases as it cleans.
Me? . . . I usually just read a book till one of my legs falls asleep.

Just curious, we've been locked up for awhile, anyone notice anything dwindling away that they hadn't expected? Any new insights? My local gun shop is getting hammered on all kinds of ammo. The sporting goods store is out of hunting points for arrows. In the grocery store: fresh garlic, ice cream, milk, eggs. For those that eat them (mostly old guys?) - Hungry Man dinners. Chicken wings, beef steaks & baked beans. Bleach, feminine hygiene, Lipsol, baby wipes
