I've advised him against buying them. I'll do it again here. Maybe that will get his attention

knave, our friends down here sold two of those a while back. I think one sold for $650 and the other (with better wheels) sold for $750.

You're welcome, knave. The Raytech in your photo is older (S/Ns of friend's were in the 1800 range) so you should be able to get it for less.
Here's a link to the thread where we were helping them sell their stuff.

knave, I have not read this whole post, and all replies. But the Raytech GSP-8A that you have taken photos of is a beauty. My advice is to grab it. Its a tank, and it is about the easiest unit to service that I could imagine. Once you know a little bit about the internals, it is pretty easy to find parts. Getting that knowledge took me some time and trial and error though. If you ended up buying it, and want information then PM me. I can give you mic specs on the bearings, several exact vendors for bearings that will work, and the exact belt replacement that you will need as well. I just re-serviced all of the afformentioned in the past week or so. Vince was the one who hooked me up on the deal too, so I am thankful to him as well. This grinder is more than I could have hoped, and is going to outlast me for sure.

Justin, If you are monitoring this thread, just know that I have sent you a very detailed PM, which should tell you everything about your new GSP-8A. -Bill
