Still hunting decided on DP 6" Wizard but they are having trouble with parts so current back order is 8wks and counting. Not a complaint Anyone know if there are any in stock. Most drop ship from them, but thought someone here might know where one is.

I got one of the Hi Techs off Amazon also, it's the bomb when you go to clean it up. Two minutes tops.

I also have a hi-tech. Cannot get any easier to clean and works really great for trimming

textriguy - the saw available in the following link is a good one. We have one that isn't nearly as nice, and have used it unmercifully for 10 years.
EDIT - The Raytech has 7" clear table space to the right of the blade, 3" on the left, and 4-1/2 in front. Swing the hinged table up, lift the sump liner out to dump it, and spin the blade dry to prevent rust. The saw itself is 12" wide x 14" deep. The entire setup will fit perfectly on a 24" workbench.
I'd buy it if our uglier one didn't still work so well. Ours is just mounted on an old piece of countertop. This one is complete.

What are these people playing at, who post a nice item on Ebay with $148.50 for shipping?

What did you find with $148 shipping? The Raytech has $70 standard shipping on the listing page.
Many sellers do pad the shipping charges to get a little more for their items.

I'm seeing a bunch of ones with huge shipping costs, but when I click through it says "Free local pickup" or "Calculate Shipping" so maybe it's just me.

Nah, it isn't just you. Larger heavier items really do cost a lot to ship. We ran into that when we were helping our friends sell their equipment.
EDIT - Some of them also tack on "crating" fees. It is a pain in the neck to pack some things.
