A few weeks ago I took a trip to Sunset Beach in Cape May to see what I could find along the beach during low tide. This location is known for its rock beach and more Notably it’s Cape May Diamonds and sea glass. Cape May Diamonds are just little clear quartz that have pretty much been tumbled for you. Not sure what the big fascination over them is, but have heard there’s sometimes some other good finds, so thought I’d check it out. A pic from when I first arrived. The rocks are now down by the water, but the whole beach used to be covered in rocks until a bad storm hit. I wound up with a small bucket full of rocks, but nothing really exciting. So I decided to check out the rock shop in the little parking lot there, and boy am I glad I did. They had a box of rocks out back and normally charge 5 bucks to fill one of the little cups in the bin, but they were trying to get rid of what was left and had it on sale for a dollar a cup. Heres a pic of the bin of rocks that were available for purchase. And here’s a pic of what I scored for a measly 6 bucks. 😃 There’s another smaller geode like the one in the upper left, but I couldn’t find it for the pic. To many rocks all over the place lol. So I hopped in the car and went to another beach a little further down the road and caught this beautiful sunset. It was a nice day out and I am quite happy with my 6 dollar purchase. I have another REALLY amazing story to share with you all soon. It puts this 6 dollar steal to shame!!! So stay tuned. I just need to finish sorting through it all and figure out how I’m going to photograph everything. Though I’m thinking I may just have to try and describe it, as it would take a ton of pics.

Quite a collection there, looks like examples from all over the country, certainly priced right. Sunset is extra special.
