Wow, jamesp, it's really coming along. I love the red concrete and I'm looking forward to seeing the tree top office tower.
Happy Easter!

The concrete contractor had only poured such red concrete for accents and trim color. I hate to admit that red is the most costly color at $122/yard X 20 yards = $2440 !! But we wanted 'red iron red' and we got it bygosh. The steel pole forms are an old trick I came up with when a company I was employed at were going to sell 120,000 pounds of big long steel pipes for 4 cents a pound ($5000). So I offered 6 cents a pound and those pipes have saved me a fortune over the past 3 decades on outback cabins, barns, homes, greenhouses etc. I set 4 poles about 30 feet long into a square here in Atlanta on flat ground, leveled and squared them, welded bolt able connections to them, welded base receivers for 6" x 6" posts to them. Hired a Hop Shot carrier to drop them on my lot in Florida and I went down and had the thing set up in day ready to pour footers. In a week I had the posts all up and banded by my self. Not because i am God but because it was so easy. Withstood 120 mph Hurricane Francis. I will do a WIP on the tree fort office. It makes sense and could be a popular concept fairly cheap to build. Same place sitting on concreted pipe, I beam posts welded to form pipes about 15 years ago. Really easy construction method.:

The colored concrete is a good change from the norm. I had brown painted walkway and outdoor patio area at a previous home and liked how it looked.

Benathema rockstock Red iron primer was clear coated as a dominate color in the industrial theme of the building. Why not blast it from the floor too.

Lots of plans for those historic glass boxes around. Stools with glass insulator feet for lighting strikes included We are looking at erecting an old railroad telegraph pole with the glass insulators to manage the unsightly cable TV and internet cables between buildings. No idea what will be erected on the foundation. It is plenty strong for a cantilevered deck too. A door out of my bedroom/office space was framed for the access. Add-on has had significant progress. Sparing no expense. The corona fire pit rush has financed the entire project go figure. Metal roof estimate came in at $25,000. To hell with them, I bought the metal roof for $2,700 and am installing it myself. Almost finished with the steep/high/long section thank God. Too old for this crap. My niece visited for the 4th. Steel building garage finally with roll up doors installed. Ready for stud walls and insulation. quarter acre of black oil sunflowers in full show. planted from bird feed seed bag

Jim, I don't do heights anymore, you are braver than me. No roofs for me and a 7 foot step ladder is my limit these days.
It's all looking good.

Jim, I don't do heights anymore, you are braver than me. No roofs for me and a 7 foot step ladder is my limit these days. It's all looking good. Warming up slowly Henry. Just doing 3 to 4 panels at prime time. Most of the roof is only a 3/12 pitch. This section is 6/12 and substantially more difficult with heavier 19' panels verses 12 to 14 foot panels on the 3/12. I am using serious rope. Ladder tied tight. But like you I have fear of doing heights any more. Had little choice, the roofers were all 3 weeks out which forced me to get it done to avoid as much water damage as possible darn it.

Oh how I love framing new construction. The smell of the wood most of all. Can I live in the garage? I'll do your tumbler cleanouts for you and maintain your truck lol
