Two gorgeous Fairburns miket ! That's a really nice size on the first one...and it looks like it's got a couple nice botryoidal pockets in it! And the second one has some gorgeous colors in that one. Thanks Jason!

I look forward to Fairburn Friday! Thanks for the show. I like them all. Me too, Pat, on both statements! Thanks for sharing them, Mike. They are beauts. If they lived near here, you can bet I'd be going out hunting for them. Sometimes, the posting of "flavor of the day" rocks - Turd Tuesday, Thunderegg Thursday, and Fairburn Friday - are the only way I know what day of the week it is. Thanks Jean, if you were here I'd take you with! 😁

Posted this one before, but have better photos now. Still trying to dial in the macro focus. Find it interesting that one side is more red and the other side is more yellow. That's a great example right there Beth! Thanks for posting that! I like how it looks "old"...and yes, it's a rock, so it IS old! LOL - It just appears to have a beautiful patina to it.

With all the vugs, it is not really lapidary quality, but a beautiful specimen.

And here's the second one. I was out with a friend of mine and he said that we should check the top of a knoll, that he's found them there before. So we walked up, he was about ten feet away from me. When I cleared the top this is what greeted me. There was no way I could miss it. Here it is cleaned up. Probably one of the bigger and better rocks that I've been lucky enough to find. Not much host rock, nice wide bands. My son showed his boss (who is as addicted to Fairburns as I am) and he offered me $600 for it. Of course I said no. Thanks for looking!

I don't know how you waited to show off pictures of that one! Perhaps you were just too distracted by that one to think about anything else!
I think I may need to see some pictures of the top 5 now!!

Honestly I was trying to stick to the thread I started... I think I've posted all of my top 5 on here but maybe if I dig around a little I could find some more. It's bad, I have them scattered everywhere and I really should get more organized!
