Exactly 50 years ago Kent State suffered the loss of 4 students during a war protest (Vietnam) on campus...."Tin soldiers and Nixon coming.......this summer I hear the drumming.......4 dead in Ohio"........I remember it well.
"OHIO"......CSN&Y put that together on May 21st, 1970 and it was released in June 1970 (they didn't waste time telling us how they felt, particularly Neil Young)........no AM radio station would play it, but what was considered at the time as underground, FM stations aired it constantly. The 1968 SCSU "Orangeburg Massacre" as it is referred to, a campus racial segregation protest, Highway Patrol officers got involved. It didn't get as much attention as Kent State, due to it's overtones at the time. But it set the stage for the up-roar Kent State set off........go figure...!
Those were very volatile/hostile protest times many of us grew up with........50 years later, we're still dealing with many of the same issues on a different level, still funded and organized by the same radical elements. Now, we don't see the same type of protest violence (police brutality). Instead, on a grander scale, one sided violence, mass shootings on (at) elementary/high school campuses and social events, by socially/religiously deranged individual terrorist or political group collective action rebellions funded and organized by a handful of billionaire power mongers......!
Things haven't really changed that much.......different costumes, platforms, methods.......but still the same ideologies and evil intentions.....!
