Man Gary, I would sure be disappointed if I got a better opal than what was pictured. Might even ask for my money back. I think put it in without explanation. Your work is superb as always. Love looking at your pieces.
Thanks, Billy!

Well I guess I am the turd in the punch bowl. I recommend the unenhanced photo. I sell using the under promise and over deliver principle. It makes making money on ETSY very difficult but I feel good about all my products and sales.
And I love your work. it is very nice.

Beautiful pendant, Gary! Even in the unedited photo I can tell that it has a lot of amazing color in it.

I agree with the other comments. The photo should represent what the piece looks like in person. If you have to edit the pic to get that, then that is fine as far as I'm concerned. I dont think it has to be disclosed. One thing that might be nice is to photo the pendant from several angles. Head on, from slightly to the right and left, maybe even from slightly above and below. To show how the color and flash differ from various angles that one would see when wearing it. The angled shots dont have to show the whole pendant, just the stone. Your main or first picture should be the one that shows the stone and pendant at their best and the other pics give the buyer more info.

That’s a beautiful pendant Gary, and as always, your work is amazing. I really only dabble in selling on-line, so take this with a grain of salt. It’s just the way I roll. I refuse to edit my pictures, other than cropping them. I’ll literally take hundreds and keep only those that represent how the piece really looks to my eye. If I have a nice cloudy day, I run out and click away. To me it’s a bit of a cheat if I edit something. But that’s only my opinion, an no criticism or critique to anyone at all. That’s a gorgeous piece and I hope to someday be brave enough to try opal.

Thank you, John ( lpl )! I shot a even more photos this morning than before, so I have a bunch for review and basic editing. Hopefully I'll find some that accurately represent the eyes. From what I've seen of your work you won't need to rely on bravery to succeed with opal.

Those pictures turned out great! The second picture really shows how bright the fire is going to be. Bravo!

That opal faces up nicely enough from those other angles that it should find itself a new home rather quickly.

Your pictures look great. They really show off the fire. Persistence is the key, I guess.
