Ok, judge me all you want, but I've had it with Chinese made garbage off Amazon. And this honestly has nothing to do with the Coronavirus. I've just had too many tools purchased that show up broken or otherwise inoperable, and after this week having to completely disassemble and rebox a 10" band saw because someone at the factory couldn't bother to properly thread a crucial blade adjustment bolt, I'm really tired of dealing with shoddy workmanship. So, with that in mind, I would like to know if any of you here have ventured into woodworking, and if you have any recommended brands that are made in the US, Europe, or the UK (assuming they offer US voltage/plugs). I'm looking specifically for a 10" or 14" band saw. I recently sent a message to Rikon Tools in Michigan asking about the origin of their products, but they have not responded yet. Thank you in advance for information & advice

Can't help with a recommendation, but I feel ya on the Chinese crap. I try very hard to buy American or Euro- esp German.

A few years ago Grizzly was manufactured in China, but to ISO rated specs and was known as good quality. Kind of lost track of them. Good company though, and this is a lengthy but interesting video.

Hand tools it is then.
Yeah, I know they are probably made in China also, but it's less money going there.
