When we moved here about 40 years ago, we used to sit outside with a drink in hand and watch a few rats run on the phone? lines. Evening entertainment. Much prefer to see stars and moon and satellites. Thanks for the link.

Enjoyed the show last night with the neighbors and their kids. Tomorrow night looks like we'll be able to see about 28 of the satellites. Interestingly, if you trim the link down to this james.darpinian.com/satellites/ you'll get the schedule for other satellite viewing and not just the Starlink satellites. Tonight, we'll be able to see the Hubble telescope.

Thanks, I shared this around to family and friends. Good link to bookmark for that romantic evening or just a nice night. I'm curious how well I can see anything from the city and light noise. Cloudy now, so it will have to wait.

Good link to bookmark for that romantic evening or just a nice night. In another time, going to the local lake and watching the submarine races used to be romantic too.

Remember long ago, laying on a blanket and watching the Northern lights and meteor showers. It was in the middle of nowhere, where I grew up. The background music of frogs, Loons and other night birds made it extra special.

Checked out the link for the international space Station and went out last night to see it. It is much brighter than the satellites and boy does it haul A$$. Went across the sky from shadow to shadow in no time flat !

It’s a crazy feeling to know that people are in it.

You're lucky. We're hemmed in a bit, and we have to deal with some light pollution. We won't see the Starlink group until tomorrow night, but there are supposed to be 40. Tonight we will look for the International Space Station.

We watched it, and you were right. That thing really was bright and easy to see.

aDave, Clicked on the link you gave and the times came up for the Space station viewing, link lasted for three or four days and then went back to the Satalite link ? What happened ? link didn't give any other info. Help ! The link still works for me. In fact, both of them in this thread work. Just for kicks, I put in your location to see what you might have popping up, and then I took a look at my location. Looks like you won't be seeing the ISS for a while. It's going over CA (on a north/south track) right now. After tonight, we aren't scheduled to see it over the next 5 days. While it may be over CA tonight, there is no "bright" description for it, so it may not be as spectacular as we saw over the previous week. I'm guessing the sun and the full moon being just below the horizon at our viewing time had alot to do with how much light was reflected off of it. I'd just keep checking different times in the future to see when it pops up again.
