Being that this crosses over into several hobbies, from rock, to wood, to metal, I wasn't sure where to put this one.
Just want peoples opinions on options for safety glasses for people who need to wear glasses for optical correction as well.
Obviously they need to fit *over* a standard pair. I've seen some that might fit the bill while looking on the web, and I have a pair that I use currently, but I just want to hear other's experiences with them in regards to which types fit the best or are the most adaptable, etc. I'm open to info on full face shields as well, but curious as to how one would incorporate a dust mask without fogging the whole thing up.
I'm still struggling to adjust to needing glasses for reading, etc. It's been a few years, but I seem to be slow to adapt/accept my eyes refusing to perform as well as they did for most of my life.

I have a pair of prescription safety glasses with the side shields. Decided they were not practical/heavy duty enough.
Did find a pair of cheap, but ANSI rated, safely glasses that fit over my current prescription glasses.
Also have a pair of ballistic safety glasses that go over my regular glasses.
It is tough to find cost effective safety glasses that fit over other ones.
I tried the goggle style, but they kept fogging up, even with vents.

neural, do you need corrective lenses or magnifier lenses because of age, looks to me like maybe both. I wore bifocal safety glasses [no correction in the field, just magnification in the bifocal] for several years before retiring, and do now at home. Lowes here has them but quite expensive. I get them at an industrial safety supply place.

I'm mostly in the "magnification" area of things, but I do need some correction as well unfortunately.
Knave: Those have a few different names. If you search for: magnifying optical on Riogrande, there are a couple types that show up in the search results. Great for magnification when working on jewelry, and they do fit glasses underneath them as I recall, but I'm not sure they are best in regards to safety.
