I finally got a chance to get the saw back out. Between the rain, home school assignments, work, reading Harry Potter, etc it’s been tough to find time, surprisingly, Here’s my oldest still in her PJs at 2:30 PM cutting Kentucky geodes and some tumbling material on the Rock Rascal. Next week we will get back into cutting cab preforms, as school winds down.

She's adorable! Why get dressed when you can cut rocks in your PJs?

Start them young, teach them well. Good for her, most kids I know of that age would run away.

She is so cute- the way she crosses her legs, so confident and relaxed, she looks like a seasoned pro. You got yourself a nice little helper.

joshuamcduffie When she's a teenager you can pull this picture up on the forum for her to see. She'll be mortified!

Nice photo. She will get some cutting hours in with those Kentucky geodes. You must have used the old Tom Sawyer "Whitewashing the fence is fun" ruse on her. Lapidary 101 is now a home-school class.
