Looks like you guys had a beautiful day to hunt for lakers. Beautiful scenery, too! Nothing better than that in my book.

Awesome! I still don't approve of you leaving California but that does look pretty awesome - especially the meeting up with NDK Nate part P.s. love the quarantine beard Nate P.ss. when you need your cheaters you need your cheaters! I recommend rockhounding in Optivisors

Looks like a great trip. Is the mushroom looking rock an iron concretion?

Nice photos and fun times, thanks for sharing. Mushroom looking thing looks like an iron bolt or rivet to me.

Nice photos and fun times, thanks for sharing. Mushroom looking thing looks like an iron bolt or rivet to me. The mushroom thing is an old railroad bolt. We picked up a few old spikes too

I've got a few pictures to post too. I'll try to remember to get that done when I get home this evening 👍 I saw two very clean buckets with spray bottles in the cart (the before photo) - please post some photos with dirty buckets of rocks (the after photos). Very nice looking rock hounding country you have there. RickB

Sorry RickB it seems unless you have a secret spot lakers are rare as hen's teeth. I do have to say though, Ali sure has agate eye - she can see them just walking a dirt path! So here's my pictures. I was discussing building a cart to haul a bucket with Rich wigglinrocks and decided to go ahead and give it a go. Ali said one of the pits we were going to check out was a 15 min walk so I knew we needed something. Here's what I came up with. The cart breaks down to be fairly compact. It will fit in a small car trunk. Of course I can't go without a shot of my beautiful rock hunting partner, just before she found that awesome laker she posted. And here's a shot of the lady we were visiting. She was good to us, gave us many good memories, and a few awesome rocks too!

I have one of those big fabric foldable wagon carts that I got from Sams Club, but I wouldn’t trust it with a heavy load of rocks. Plus it’s kinda big, but it does have drink holders and a little tray.

Sorry folks I thought of taking pictures when I was half way through the build. Didn't pay to start then... If anyone wants measurements or a parts list I'd be happy to get that together for you.
