Hi everyone,
I wanted to apologize for not spending as much time here. My YouTube channel has really taken off and I spend way too much time responding to all the comments there. I thought I'd share my most recent video. I just reached 20,000 subscribers and celebrated by writing limericks. Lots of people are responding with limericks of their own. I've been having a ball reading them and thought you might enjoy them too.

Your snob pose was perfect!
I heard of a teacher of math Who chose a peculiar path He patiently teaches Of rockhounding beaches And shares of the knowledge he hath...
Thanks Rob and donโt be a stranger on RTH!

knave that's one of the better limericks that were posted. Thanks for taking the time to write it. saxplayer It sure takes a lot of work to do well on YouTube, but I mostly enjoy it. The basement videos are not nearly as fun to make as the rockhounding ones, and they don't do as well. But some people like them and I can't make too many outdoor videos in the winter. A big part of my success is due to a video that I made about three years ago with RTH being my intended audience. For some reason that video took off more than any others and did really well for about a year. It stills one of my top videos, but is not getting nearly the traffic it once did.

I've never been to Limericks. What material can be found there and what do they charge?

i use a third party video player that doesn't support comments (or at least i haven't figured out that it does) but just wanted to say - we love your videos! (we being myself and my 4 year old. LOL she definitely likes the rockhounding ones more but i'm all about the rocks in a box and any other more tumbling related ones - so we watch them all! =) we both often pick out rocks from the pile that we're hoping will get a close-up. and she often asks, "why isn't he going to take that one home?" for the rockhounding videos!

She sounds like she's making most of the comments on my channel. I always disappoint someone with my rocks in a box videos by not showing some rock and I always get comments about not taking every rock I find on the beach home. My regular watchers are getting used to disappointment, I think. Tell your daughter I say hi.

๐ In your limerick video, I noticed you gently laid them to rest, barely in the water. Probably prevented a riot. Lol

And she only started asking, really, after the video explaining about petosky stones. But don't worry about any "disappointment" ... in my opinion, your rocks in a box series is just what we need during this craziness - a little eye candy! =) video must take ages, like editing and, i can scarcely imagine so anything people, with more experience, are willing to share, is a gift. edit - I decided to have a go too. there is a rocksmith name Rob sometimes he stirs up a mob with the rocks he shows and chooses and the ones he ignores and loses only once has it made my child sob. (because she needed a nap, haha!)
