Would love the knowledge of how to find it or meet up and dig. Heck im up for learning anything new. I'm in Central OR. Don’t dig in the clay. That area is completely dug out. They did the heavy work with cats years ago. Your best bet is to go off the side of the hill, just outside the clay layer. From there you’re going to want to dig around 2 feet down. At 2 feet, just keep digging at that depth. You’ll see where others dug off the other side of the road that loops around, but there really isn’t much out there. Your probability to hit material is far higher in the hillside to your right as you reach the vistaite bed.

Some of those are a more identifiable type, like I was talking about. I posted a pic of what you would normally find, over in the other thread. It varies.
