I have a few limb cast that I have cut the ends off and want to polish. The diameters of the limb casts range from 1/2 inch to 2 inches. What are some options ,as far as equipment goes, that could help me polish the ends?

I polished my limbcast on the Genie. Ended up domed like I wanted. Pretty stuff. Good luck!

I wonder if tumbling would work. I have a piece of horn coral with a polished face and the ridges on the rest have some polish so I believe it was tumbled.

The tumbling processed changed the shape of it enough that it was hard to identify it as being a limb cast .

As Pat suggested, treat the ends as if they were incipient cabochons. Dome and polish them on a lapidary arbor or lap if you have one, or with a dremel and associated attachments. Polishing the ends is like creating a window into the interior of the cast.
