Hello everyone! I'm excited to be here, and looking forward to learning the art of tumbling along side all of you newbies and experts alike.
I have been tumbling for about a year now. I am using a Lortone 33b, and am learning a lot as I go. I want to thank all of you for the advice and tips I have already gleaned from this forum. My first few batches were unsuccessful in gaining a nice high glossy polish (likely because of contaminating the batches when moving from grit to grit), but I'm starting to get things dialed in now. I started separating all of my equipment pieces per grit, which I believe has helped a lot! For each grit, I now have separate barrels, separate strainers, separate media (ceramic and plastic) and separate containers. Might be overkill, but what the hell! Lol. Right now, I am working some batches of Arizona Fire Agate my wife and I collected a few years ago, and some fluorite we collected at Daugherty Gulch in Idaho. They are both turning out quite well!
Anyway, thanks again!

In case you haven't noticed, we love pictures. Please post your tumble batches when they're finished.

Welcome from the Desert Southwest (Nevada neighbor)! Your 33B is a classic and many here at the RTH own them. Your neck of the woods (Northern Utah) is a sweet place to gather material from.
