Good Morning All. Just took my first tumble out after 10 days. Longest 10 days ever! lol These are sea jasper. This is how they look: Do you all think these look ready for next stage? There are a few pits here and there that may be visible in these pictures. I appreciate any suggestions?

Really up to you Rich! I like to tumble flaws out of mine as much as I can. Based on your photos I would probably do another 7 days and recheck. For me - without closer photos - I’d guess 14-21 days more before I would move them on but that’s for my preferences not yours

Most of those rocks pictured are going to have pits and cracks until you tumble them down to the size of a jellybean. I tumble a lot of rocks with 'character'. I prefer a polished rock with pits to a perfect jellybean. If it was me: I would spin them with another week of coarse silicon carbide and if I think they won't shatter at a later point: move them on through the process...

I'd also go a bit longer. If you do move them to med grit now, then they will be in there a longer time as that is your last good chance for rounding. The good news if you run longer in stage 1, is you now have the opportunity to top up the barrel with additional stones. Good luck with your project.

Thanks for the input all!
back into stage 1 they went last night along with some lake superior agates. I picked up a 33b [god help me] so have them both going with my 3a sitting with a brandy new barrel for polishing.
