The above specimen is interesting in that beetle portals are preserved on the exterior.

Good Tracks! Did the Dung Beetles take the paths of least resistance?

Good Tracks! Did the Dung Beetles take the paths of least resistance? Probably the path of the most delicious poo. Being that they were eating the tunnel into existence. Quien sabe?

That is an interesting one. Are all those cracks healed?

That is an interesting one. Are all those cracks healed? I like the little spots. Iron, maybe?

That is an interesting one. Are all those cracks healed? Yes, these ones are but I notice it's not always that way with others.

ELECTION TUESDAY, I meant TURD TUESDAY! same thing I have a question. How certain are you that the corpolite that you collect in your area is from dinosaurs? I ask because I am sending a couple to my grand nephews and I want to hedge my description if there is a possibility that it isn't from dinosaurs. Thanks.

Do dinosaurs follow proper chewing instructions? some seem better masticated than others.

I'm fairly certain because the layer I get them from is the Brushy Basin Member of the Jurassic which is around 146ish MYA. Items identifiable in the diet point to dinosaurs along with gastroliths. Not to mention that some of the coprolites I find are the size of a bushel basket. The presence of identifiable dino bones in situ with the coprolites are also a give away. Then there's a prominent coprolite scientist, Karen Chin, who's produced a bunch of scientific papers on the subject by studying them from the same locality that I get them from. So yeah, I'm reasonably confident what they are.

It takes a tough man to make a tender chicken and a tougher one to drop an artisanal loaf.
