My LU6X Combination saw/grinder is getting loud bearings, found these at Amazon, hopefully this can pop up for me in future searches. UC204-12 3/4" Bore Set Screw Lock Spherical Insert Bearing www.amazon.com/dp/B07N8F9Y18/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_eKpjFb7PK57VPI haven’t ordered them just yet, are the ones direct for Lortone better quality?

If it's exposed to water, stainless steel would be better for the application. Lortone just says "hardened" so I couldn't tell you if it's better without calling them to ask. I assume they aren't, because otherwise they would brag about it.

It would also appear the Lortone unit is double (or triple) sealed and the unit in your link is a single seal unit.

That might be right, almost all the ones that I have taken out are either -Z or -ZZ configuration though, I have taken out a few that were not shielded or sealed and most of those you have a real hard time even reading the numbers on them.

Most Lu6-x combo units have the concentric lock bearing units on them, they are a PIA to get off but once you clean up the shaft the new ones are usually real easy to get on.

2RS means it has 2 rubber seals. Not that it is double sealed

EricD, I didn't say, or intend to say, 2RS meant double sealed, it's two seals, just like ZZ means two shields, a shield or seal on each side of the bearing. A 2RS seal would, in my opinion, be a minimum for a decent replacement over a shielded bearing.
