Hmm. 3 hour drive...
Don’t need more rocks...
When has that stopped me before...
Wife is out of town...
I cleaned the garage and organized my rocks this year...
COVID...
Homeless rocks need love too...
What if all the good rough is gone (or overpriced)?
Ocean jasper, Morgan Hill, rutilated...
Must resist...
Why?

How much are 5-gallon buckets going for?
I understand different materials at different prices, but a ballpark would be nice. $50 - $200? Or price per pound: $0.50 or $10.00?

Toad, just got done setting up for the sale tomorrow. LOTS of good stuff! We were unpacking rocks that were wrapped up in 50 year old newspapers!!! I'm new at all this but most of the old timers were talking about so,e of the stuff is hard to find anymore. I do know that anything being weighed will be at least 1/2 price of any catalogs. Example, thereis some brazilion agates going for $2.50/$3.00pound! Most I saw looked like blue interiors! Nice sized box of mixed slabs, two buckets of both Petoskey's, and fossils. Some nice petrified wood, and fire agate from out west. WAY Too much to talk about!

Toad, if you don't go, you'll feel terrible! You must go for your mental health!

Not convinced yet. I spoke to Bill W. from the flyer and he mentioned lots of beach rocks. geotech mentioned Petoskeys and fossils... What is the entrance fee? Didn't mention it on the flyer. 7 hour round trip. Want to go. Anyone got pics from day 1???

No entrance fee. My first rock anything in person so nothing to compare it to. I grabbed some Brazilians and other misc. I'll try to post a couple pics of what I bought in a bit.

I'm 60% there. Just have a family thing going on tomorrow. If my son is tied up long enough with his stuff, I'll have enough time for the 7 hour round trip. PICS!!!!

Not sure on the total weight, dollar or two per pound average? For what I picked
I didn't look at any slabettes or anything.
I wanted to get some but also not go overboard lol.

What are the small reddish-purple stones in the first pic? Corundum?
