I have a DP Titan and tonight the air pump stopped working. I have read on the forum and seen in the DP catalog the 2 cyl pump. My Titan is so old I have a 1 cyl pump so I am assuming it would require a retrofit (new pump, bracket and ).
Has anyone ever used a geyser with a air pump from a fish tank?
TIA

Yup. I have two pumps, one for each side. Been working fine on six-inch wheels, fourteen years on the odometers and counting.

You should be able to rebuild your pump and make it work again, they are actually pretty simple to work on.

Thanks to all for your replies. This is helpful info and specs.
Right now it is about cost. I will call DP next week but the fish pump is cheaper than a pump maintenance kit from DP.

catmandewe & stardiamondI called DP and they said their expert Don is out will be back Monday(8/24). They have another guy John who I requested to have call with info for old 1 piston pump PSI and CFM and the same Info fort the newer design 2 piston pump (also CFM and PSI). It is now Wednesday and no call back. catmandewe do you have any DP info on those pumps? stardiamond thanks for the links. I have the two geyser blocks that cam with the unit. Each block has two ports(geyser holes per block) If I can figure out the cfm and psi for that original geyser I may be able to make them both work under one wheel as well. There are some stones that need more water. I have a regular air compressor I am going to see what happens when you put an air hose on a geyser. between you guys and parfive I have a lot of good info Thanks

You want to talk to Don, he has been working on them for decades. And yes he is out of the shop this whole week.

I talked to Don at DP today. I was very disappointed. He has no technical info on the air pumps old or new. No psi, No CFM. No info on max air for Geyser block for Titan.

I talked to Don at DP today. I was very disappointed. He has no technical info on the air pumps old or new. No psi, No CFM. No info on max air for Geyser block for Titan. Is the geyser block for the Titan the same as the genie? There is a YouTube video on maintaining your Genie pump: And another called How to rebuild a Genie geyser air pump Maybe one or the other of those videos gives specifications? I'll let you look!

Just to circle back around to those who provided/posted links, advice and forum search. Thanks for the help. This has been an interesting project.
Because I preferred to buy once and not go chasing around the technical info provided helped me avoid most of the pitfalls. Yet I stupidly ordered from Amazon and after waiting 10 days they said oops the USPS destroyed it so we will refund your money not send out a new pump. Was it even sent? It was an off brand "Simple Deluxe" with the following specs (Single Outlet pump 1030 GPH => 65L/Min => 2.3cfm, 3.8psi, $40 = tax, free shipping)
When that was not going to come I ordered from "Fresh Water Systems" EcoPlus Commercial Air 3, (Model 728455), Single Outlet pump 1030 GPH => 65L/Min => 2.3cfm, 3.8psi $47.99 plus shipping. I have the pump but no invoice as of yet so I do not know the shipping charge.
You will note this is a bump up from the Medo listed above since I can vent extra air but if you don't have enough CFM or PSI then you have to buy more.
When I attached the pump it would not push my geyser. I spent several hours (wasted) cleaning both Geysers they were dirty they had not been cleaned in a long time. This included a bath in an ultrasonic for about 2hrs. After all that no joy. So in frustration I hooked the geysers to my big compressor it has a 100gal tank and had 60 PSI still in the tank. The geysers blew water 24in high. I pulsed the geysers until I had pumped a quart of water through both of the geysers and then tried the new pump again. success!!! there must have still been some grud geyser. The geysers have both been tested and and put out more spray than the original but I have not tried to use them together. It was interesting to see how the geysers and the plastic hose (left over from my Dads Oxygen generator held up under 60 psi with no problem and I could have purchased an even bigger pump for not much more. (Tim taylor grunt here)
Models I found that should work: Coralife 05146 SL-65, 3.9PSI, 2.3cfm(65L/min, 35watts @120v $70.45 on amazon, Marine Depot 87.49, Ken’s Fish $79.99, chewy.com $70.45, walmart $76.99 Active Aqua AAPA70L - 70L/min =>2.47cfm=>1110GPH, .03MPa=>4.3psi, 60watt, 60DB, $67 on Amazon, Ebay $60.11 O2 Commercial Air Pump Aquaponics: 794 GPH => 50L/Min(1.76cfm), .03 MPa => 4.3psi, 35Watts about $49 ebay EcoPlus Commercial Air 3, (Model 728455), Single Outlet pump 1030 GPH => 65L/Min => 2.3cfm, 3.8psi,Fresh Water Systems $47.99, Horticulture Source $45.49, ebay $54.49

After reading your latest post, I tried using my Genie geysers with my aquarium pump. The one I am using is stronger than the one I tried with the genie geyser before. My wife has a ton of cannulas so I had lots of plastic tubing. The tubing for the Genie is smaller diameter than what I use with the pumps. I tried using the larger tubing and the genie geyser. It blew bubbles and a small stream of water. I cleaned it out with a safety pin and held my finger over the top hole which will back flush and clean it out. Using the pump on the Genie there is a put-put sound. With the aquarium pump it just puts out a stream with the non Genie geysers which have larger holes. What I have works and with two geysers under the wheel it wets the wheels adequately even on the wider 8 inch wheels.
