Had a chance to check my barrels this morning and wanted to share a pic of each side. One of my sons asked me to tumble this for him, I think I'll let it go one more week in coarse. It's going to be a sweet rock. Thanks for looking.

Looks good!--If it was me I would probably break the stone at the crease on the bottom of the second photo.

I can't imagine tumbling a Fairburn...that being said every Fairburn I've ever seen tumbled looks SO amazing! This one is no exception! I can't wait to see the finished product! I'm with you Jason, but you know how kids are...even 31 year old kids! 😁

Legit question...what is it that you're seeing in the agate that would make you want to run it another week in course? Is there still some pitting and/or rough spots? And yes...I do know kids don't always make the right decisions! (I really am just teasing...I love seeing polished Fairburns! I know people say the value goes down when they're polished, but if they're never going to be sold, then the inherent "personal value" goes through the roof sometimes when they're polished!) I really will be interested/excited in seeing the finished polish.

Lookin good. How long have you had it running in course for? I think this will be the third week. It was actually shaped pretty well when he found it.

I really will be interested/excited in seeing the finished polish. I've only been tumbling for two years, and when I first started a friend here on RTH ingrained in me the need to have my tumbles as close to perfect as I can get. Which is odd because I am in no way a perfectionist. I also considered myself to be a patient person but I've had to take that patience to a whole new level. This particular agate still has a few pits and creases that I would like to reduce without taking away the patterns, of course. On a side note- and this is hard to admit- my son seems to find a few more Fairburns than I do generally, so he has more to play with. No, I'm not bitter...
