We can work out the details. I don’t mind at all taking a detour if you’re going to be at the end of it.

orrumOh my North Carolina... did I know that? I should know that shouldn’t I? Well hell then you’ll be a lot closer to me than AZ 😂 Recently I got the opportunity to finally go NORTH EAST. Bill I sure do wish my husband liked my camper! I fell in love with Pennsylvania and New York State. I’d so enjoy taking a month, bringing some lapidary equipment and exploring that part of the country. 2020 my sister an I went to New Mexico 3x’s and the two states I just mentioned. The two years prior to that I was pretty much a hermit. I got up, walked to the studio, worked all day then walked back into the house. I was trying to get my business off the ground and totally lost sight of why I started doing it in the first place. After getting home from that recent visit I started revamping my camper and had quiet time to think. I’ve decided on a new path... Get reacquainted and stay in touch with my friends, get out in nature that inspired this fire in me to begin with, bring along my Genie so I can create when I’m standing slap dab in the middle of inspiration. That would be my heaven on Earth. Now to get the Hubby on board or figure out a way to get home once a week to service him 🙈😂😂

Mel you are so right!!! Retire early if you can, plan for it. Life is better with living FREE at a younger age. I too did as you and turned the hobby I loved into a job... I had a good friend helped me see this so now I love my hobby and that's exactly what it is, and I love rocks stuff for their own sake and not for sales!!!

If I wasn’t so far in the opposite direction I would definitely take you up on a traveling rock picking trip. Far as cooking I can cook but when it comes to eating breakfast I can’t even remember the last time I ate breakfast. Like you I absolutely have to have my coffee that is my breakfast and my first meal of the day is around 3-4 or later Good god. How do people do that? I do need my coffee, but 3 or 4 pm, I’ve had at least 4 meals and 3000 calories!

Good god. How do people do that? I do need my coffee, but 3 or 4 pm, I’ve had at least 4 meals and 3000 calories! More coffee, more coffee, you got it more coffee Still wouldn't work for me. Hangry + Caffeine = not a good look If I was in a group that was stranded without food, I'd likely be the first person that was eaten.

Hangry + Caffeine = not a good look If I was in a group that was stranded without food, I'd likely be the first person that was eaten. My husband and my sisters husband are the same way! My brother in law is a wonderful Rockhounder! But Oh My Lawd if Christy forgets to pack him plenty of food for our days journey. I’ve only eaten 1 square meal a day since I was a wee kid so I don’t think about it 😂 Now I strive to let guest know to think ahead when packing for the day. When you leave camp at dawn, finally find a nice spot, it almost takes an act of God himself to get me out of there. Once Chris an I set out from Salt Lake City in search of the elusive Tiffany Stone. It took hours getting to Gold Hill. Then stopped to play in the old mine dumps. Moved on to sites before finding our prize. That was 2 days later, camping in the truck without COFFEE AN only had a big bag of Doritos between us 😂 and very very low on gas! We saw 2 people in those 2 days. When we found civilization we bought out the food and coffee. People thought we were nuts. LESSONS LEARNED: Always take extra gas, a packable blanket, instant coffee for emergencies! Oh an if it wasn’t for my hand help gps we would probably still be lost in rural Utah but BOY WHAT FUN!

Whereas I have the eating habits of a Hobbit. Also since I was a kid. 😁
Glad you found your way out of the Tiffany stone site
