So, my stepdaughter is out in Washington and found these on Rialto Beach. I think they're poppy jasper of some kind...but I'm horrible at ID's. Any thoughts? stephan or amygdule - I'm tagging you two...just 'cause.

No clue where it's from. Big Bend Texas has been suggested, but I don't have enough familiarity to say yeah or nay. I don't remember where i acquired it, but the trim pile from the SMS shop seems likely. The orbs almost look like marcasite, but this stuff did not turn my water black, so that's unlikely. DSC_5601_Druzy orby mystery agate freeform cab by Stephan T., on Flickr ID help appreciated. I need to go at the druzy areas with a toothbrush and get the last of the cerium polish out.

Big Bend is probably a good guess. Unfortunately it could also be Mexico, or Arizona, etc, etc. Unless you collected it yourself, location of some material can never be definitive.

Don't know what this rock is, but it came from the Southern California desert east of me. I think it qualifies as orbicular! Three photos of same rock.
