9:30 this morning I found myself heading back to Burro creek again. Today I was going to try and find some better red Burro Creek rock. After poking around awhile I found the area that was shedding all the red colored agates. At least one of them. Vein after vein of red colored agate for about 3 or 4 hundred yards. I new I wasn't the first one to find this place as I new hundreds before me had probably took most of the good stuff, but after the rain we had yesterday I was hoping it may have uncovered/washed off some new prospects. I found plenty to choose from that's for sure. The problem I have is I want to take them all home. Here are some pictures of my adventures today. Maybe tomorrow I will look for some more purple. Another look at the Burro Creek Area on a bright and beautiful day. Burro Creek at the Six Mile Crossing Camp ground A few of the rocks I kept today.

Nice finds! Looks like you had some fine weather. Did you camp there by the water? Looks like a good spot.

I wish I could camp there. My 40' toy hauler would not make the 14 mile trip to that spot. The road switches back and forth the whole way. It's mostly a single lane road and it's a long way down if you was to get off it.

There are a few spots at the first part of that road that would accommodate that big of a rig although they aren't as nice or secluded.
