If that actually worked like it should? That would be awesome. Wouldn't be useful for those of us repairing threads in valuable things like an engine block, cylinder head, or a transmission, But still very useful! Especially for a fabricator working with raw (and thin) steel

Nice tool. I bet I would say some ungentlemanly words when I broke one of these bits. I go thru drill bits sometimes like a madman. I still have my die and tap set from 30 years ago.

Those of us who have set up turret lathes are all too familiar with the drill/tap bits. Great for soft non ferrous metals when used with lots of coolant. Using these with a hand drill, one would want to be careful to slow the speed way down when transitioning from drill to tap.
