So I was ready to start dremeling a new cab last night and picked up a dust-covered preform off of my work bench, rinsed it off and decided to work this one. I believe it's one that I collected, but wanted to see if anyone has any idea what kind of agate it is. Like I said, I believe that it's one that I picked up, because it has what we call a Fairburn "signer" on the left side of the cab on the front. 'Course, my memory sucks so it could have been sent to me- that's why I thought I'd see if anyone can ID it, because if it's something not found around here than I"m completely wrong!
Thanks!

I'm curious if someone can ID this one. I see where you're talking about the "signer" part. I've never seen a signer in a rock with "mixed" material like this one is showing...not saying I'm an expert - you know that! LOL Whatever it is, this looks like it's going to be a beautiful looking cab!

And I'm definitely no expert, either! Thanks, I think it will turn out well.

I sometimes find material like this in my area too. I thought it might be some kind of brecciated jasp-agate.
