Hello everyone, Here’s a look at my second attempt, small progression. I ran 46/70 grit for weeks on the raw material, but this is about the best I can do without buying a Cabbing machine or some sort of grinder. A used cab might happen in 2021... for the right price. Final steps: 3 days in Lot-O @ 220 w/ ceramic mix 3 days in Lot-O @ 500 w/ ceramic mix 3 days in Lot-O @ A.O. w/ ceramic mix
Raw: Group photoshoot! Final Group Love the clear geometric lines!

Those are rocking!
I always encourage a cabbing machine or just some sort of arbor to spin a simple abrasive wheel for roughing out ?
I assume that what ya meant ? For making the tumbling a mor efficient process?
Anyway your on the right rock road and will soon have every imaginal grindiging apparatus about and there are a lot of those ha
keep on Ed

Boy you're getting there with the polishing! Crazy Lace is my second favorite rock...it's almost tied with Fairburn Agates! I like your "light box" too by the way!

Those came out well! I find crazy lace tricky to tumble as well. It sometimes has layers that are very hard and some soft. Makes it hard to shape them. One trick I've picked up is I sort of pre-shaped them on my tile saw. Kind of get all the gribbley bits off so that it rounds in the tumbler. Love the stone with the mounds on it. It looks cool
