I've been wanting to contribute to this thread for some time and finally have gotten around to it!
My humble submission. Taken wet under an Ott light. I think it is Arizona wood, but not certain. It is about 4 inches wide. I really like the red moss at the bottom and the dendrites alone the top.

There has to be a lot still buried but will never be found. would be nice to have some ground pentrating radar to check it out. All I really know that I will not dig there anymore! Body too old to be punished like that. I know where there are several standing logs that will stay in the ground.
