Trying to find grit supplies in larger quantities for out new large tumbler. Would like 50 or 100 pounds of 36/60 or similar sic, then a good fine, pre polish and polish for the rotary. We don't have a vibe yet, will be building one when I get money to do so, or if we find a good deal on a lot-o. Anyway if anybody knows of an abrasive company in Washington where I can get supplies that would be great.

Look for a place that does Sand Blasting for bulk grit supplies

A large tumbler should be able to handle this SiC. It is only 90% SiC but the price was right at 45 cents per pound in 50 lb bags. It is a much cheaper ungraded mix of sizes from 3/8"- 1/4" - #4 - #8 - #16 - #30 - #46 and smaller. Intended for metallurgical applications but shapes rock aggressively and can wear out barrel aggressively too. May be hard to find in 50 pound bags, mostly sold in 1 to 2 ton bulk bags. Contact Washington Mills.

When I contacted Carbolon MA, they said there is a 500 lb minimum order. Great if you can store that much, but I imagine most people can't.

Try Abrasive Armory. It is located in Vancouver. I've bought from them, and service is pretty outstanding. I haven't ordered the quantities you're looking for, and I don't even know if they typically sell in those amounts. Might be worth reaching out to them to find out.
